Hi, I am Dave Abbott. I was born in Clarkston, Washington on Highland Avenue where my parents had a large fruit orchard (yes, that was a long time ago). When I was eight years old, my family moved and I grew up near the small farming and logging town of Troy, Idaho.
I attended college at the University of Idaho in nearby Moscow, where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. After graduation, I worked at GTE and Verizon for 26 years, much of that time in the Regulatory Compliance & Legal Affairs department at the company’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
I left Verizon in 2001, at which time my wife Kathy and I returned to the Lewis-Clark Valley to be near family and friends. My hobbies and interests include golf, genealogy and photo restoration.
